An Update and News

by Flynn on November 3, 2012

It’s been months since I’ve blogged. I have no new excuses. I’m busy. I’ve learned that balance means not giving myself 100% to any one thing and getting by on everything. I can’t do that. Not in my role as a mother and not in my writing.

So I’ve focused. I spend every spare moment writing. In the months that I’ve been away from the blog I’ve:
*subbed one full to Harlequin Superromance
*attended local RWA chapter conference and pitched to my first agent
*subbed and received a rejection in a Harlequin Fast Track Submission call
*finished and polished The Bartender’s Daughter
*pitched and subbed TBD to several pubs
*began writing four other WIPs, which are in varying forms of doneness
*revamped my blog and created a website (Many thanks to my sister, Jodi Grundig, for her significant help.)
*created a Facebook page and profile for my writing persona
*sold my first book, TBD, to Turquoise Morning Press. (more on that in another post)

I’m not slowing down. I have goals and action steps to help me reach them. I’ll talk more about that in the future. Now that I’ve been juggling the writing thing with the mom/wife/home manager thing for a few months, I’m adding a new ball to my juggling act….blogging.

No promises. I plan on posting once a week and building up to three times a week. I have a long list of topics I’d love to share here. I have half-written posts and even finished pieces I haven’t hit publish on for one reason or another. So here I go…another ball in the air.
